A PEEK INSIDE A PASTA FACTORY
Can’t make it to Italy? You’ll feel like you’re there when you tour the pasta factory at Etto
Pastificio (ettopastificio.com) in Paso Robles. The family-owned business, which debuted in the Tin City artisan industrial hub in 2018, has become known for its more than 20 shapes of craft pasta, made using traditional methods with organic durum semolina flour and water as the sole ingredients.
A tour package includes a 30-minute guided peek behind the scenes in the factory the company opened in 2023, a box of Etto pasta, and an Etto Pasta Bar lunch featuring a signature pasta dish made with local ingredients.
“When folks heard about our new pasta factory, we started to get some requests for visits,” says owner Brian Terrizzi. “I don’t blame folks for wanting to see how their food is made. We are excited to share what we do, especially in the spirit of food transparency.”
Ticket cost for the tour and pasta lunch is $50 per adult; $40 per 7- to 12-year-old; $25 for each child age 6 and under. Tickets are also available for the tour only. For more details, check the website or call 805-203-0435. —N.R.
