Etto is Thankful for You
I've always loved Thanksgiving and the bounty of the seasonal table. This will be our second Thanksgiving in a row where we will not be cooking a Turkey. I've been hanging around the market quite a bit lately and it seems that I'm not the only one. This year with only one daughter home and my folks unable to travel, cooking a whole turkey for three of us is a bit excessive. Instead we will have a rack of lamb which my daughter raised and mashed potatoes with lamb gravy, along with a selection of veggies like brussel sprouts and delicata squash. We will eat it on my grandmother's china with the smaller plates from her day to serve as a reminder to practice a bit of moderation as we enter the season of eating.
We are Thankful to have such a wonderful and dynamic community from the folks we work with every day to those of you that come see us every week or even more often than that. I'm so proud of what we've been able to create in a relatively short amount of time. Businesses like Sam's Italian Deli in Fresno, Luigi's in Bakersfield, Lucca Ravioli Company in San Francisco and dozens of other Italianish markets that have become community staples (I'm sure you have your favorite) and serve as a guiding light for us. If you've received a couple extra emails from us lately, we are still trying to dial our new software in. Trust me, we don't want to spam you.
We look forward to seeing you all soon around Tin City. Please be patient with us if the market is a little busy. You can always talk to us or other shoppers about what you're making for dinner and share some inspiration. That's a conversation that unites us all.
