Pasta Season Starts Now

Once again this is the start of pasta season - the time of year where you may ask yourself not how many times a week is it OK for you to eat pasta, but how many times per day? Sure another little heat wave is coming, but I assure you: as the sun sets earlier and earlier a chill will arrive earlier in the evening. Nothing brings more comfort than a steaming bowl of pasta.
For Italians, that would be seven days a week and two times per day. You laugh, but I've seen it and experienced it with my own eyes. Over twenty years ago, while living there I actually made tacos one night for my villamates to get a break from the daily onslaught, which, to be honest was a joyful onslaught. I can tell you the pasta diet does a body good; I ate it nearly every day and often twice.
Now is the time for a creamy cheesy pasta like the recipe below, a hearty meat ragu and of course a gooey hug from baked pasta. Look forward to some of these recipes coming your way soon and please share with me any ideas you have. Enjoy the start of pasta season and may this season never end.

It's ramen time - so come and get it.

Please join us next Monday for the next 1st Monday fundraiser at the Pasta Bar. 10% of the proceeds will be donated to Templeton Drama. While we like to keep the drama low at Etto we enjoy kids pushing their drama on the stage.
