We Visit Northern Italy Just in Time for Truffles

We just arrived in Torino to visit glorious Piemonte during truffle season. This is our first time to Turin as we call it in the states and it's a true stunner. The city is teeming with folks for the finals of the ATP men's tennis which we sadly can't quite afford tickets. There is tennis fever in the air as the Italians seem to have switched from soccer to tennis as their new national sport.

We have however spent a bit of time in the wine regions of Barolo and Barbaresco a few times during truffle season and it's a special time of year. After a night in Torino we escaped to the countryside for a slower pace. Pictured above is our first of hopefully many white truffle dishes and the Pasta King with the Truffle King. This gentleman has as much passion for truffles as I do for pasta and I think I've made a lifelong friend - just wish I'd brought the crown with me.

Expect a full recap when we return, but if you would like to travel with us next fall Stephy and I will be going back to Sicily in November. Only a few spots remain. To get on the list for that trip click here the link below. I'll come back well rested and ready for an action packed holiday season.

Also, we are excited to announce the launch of a Fall 2026 foodie tour of Northern Italy covering Emilia Romagna and Umbria with Etto's Gina DeGirolamo joined by our friends Jeni and Antonio Moretti. This trip is an Italian food lover's dream that will visit producers of prosciutto, parmesan, balsamic vinegar, truffles and of course wine. Inquire by clicking below.
